Synopsis

On February 11, 1985, the Soviet orbital station Saliut 7, which has been in orbit without a crew for the past six months, unexpectedly loses control and stops responding to signals sent from the Mission Control Center. The probable fall to Earth of a station that is the pride of Soviet science and cosmonautics, can cause not only the loss of the country's reputation, but also a tragedy with human victims. The damaged station can fall anywhere on the planet, destroy anything, even a city, and all this happens in the context of the Cold War, further complicating the situation. June 6, 1985, after three months of training, the Mission Control Center decides to send the Soyuz T-13 manned spacecraft, with a crew of two of the most experienced Soviet cosmonauts: Commander Vladimir Fedorov and the engineer of times between Viktor Alekhin. They face a difficult and risky task of state importance: finding the "dead" station; get close without colliding and perform a very complicated manual docking with an uncontrolled and moving space station, which no one has done before in the history of cosmonautics; verify the status of on-board systems and station equipment; Identify the causes of problems and prevent a catastrophe.
